Capricorns Exonerated!!!!

As a member of the much aligned group of people born between December 22nd and January 20th, I am pleased to announce some fabulous news.

Today, our newspaper horoscope read that our hearts were so bountiful that the number of lives we would affect was incalculable.  Plus, our endeavors would contribute to the saving of the world!  Hah, better than the offspring that Mother Theresa and Superman could have spawned!

And what do the horoscopes say of the other people with signs who frequently bash Capricorns?  Well, it ain't pretty, I can tell you that.  But, today my heart is bountiful so I will not explicitly list the short comings of many of my fellow humans!

Reaching Across the Aisle Has Gone Too Far

Barack Obama has reached too far across the ailse, embracing a bigot as the spiritual leader at his inauguration.  Apparently, Barack Obama does not understand the hurt and the anger that he is stoking by this choice.  There is very little that I can add that has not been said already.  To have Pastor Rick Warren lead in prayer while Pastor Warren equates two loving people who believe in Christ and want to have their lifelong committment recognized in the eyes of their lord to criminals  like pedophiles is a slap in the face to all liberals.  I would not invite this man into my home, much less to pray for me.  There is no political gain for Obama that would lead me to condone his choice.  He is mixing politics with church and that is not acceptable.  Couldn't he have left this horrible wedge issue out of his inauguration?  He is saying, "Look, I have said all along that I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, so don't come asking for any hand outs.  I have the auto makers to worry about." 

America Blog posted Saddleback Church's old website which stated that Gays could attend his church but not be members unless they stopped being Gay.  According to America Blog, the site has now been scrubbed of such language.  Is Pastor Warren now accepting of Gays?

Thanks for the Memories

  George Bush with his favorite candy-ass co-killer.  They really look tough and cool with their flight jacket and sweater walking that little sassy Springer Spaniel.

Bush dropping Barney in front of a team of baseball players.  Can you possibly be any more clutsy than that? 

 I hope Laura kept the big bunny.  George Bush will need something to cling to as the world, including the mainstream media has been blathering about war crimes. 

Karaoke Rage is all the Rage

I found the story about Karaoke Rage on Huffington Post.

"Karaoke rage is not unheard of in Asia. There have been several reported cases of singers being assaulted, shot or stabbed mid-performance, usually over how songs are sung.

Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” has reportedly generated so many outbursts of hostility t'hat some bars in the Philippines now do not offer it on the karaoke menu anymore. In Thailand this year, a gunman shot eight people dead after tiring of their endless renditions of a John Denver tune."

The offending John Denver tune was "Country Roads."

Now, some stories just make you have to pause and scratch your head and wonder just what the Sam Hill is going on.
